Return & Refund Policy

1. General Return Guidelines

At American Used Auto Parts LLC, we strive for 100% customer satisfaction. If you need to return a part, you must obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number prior to shipping.

  • Return Window: Returns are accepted within 30 days of the original invoice date.
  • Condition: Parts must be returned in the same condition as received (unaltered, uninstalled, and un-disassembled).
  • Unauthorized Returns: Returns received without an RMA number will be refused at the dock.

2. Restocking Fees (Critical)

If you order the wrong part, change your mind, or refuse a non-damaged shipment, a 25% Restocking Fee will be deducted from your refund to cover logistics and warehouse handling costs. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

3. How to Request a Return

To start a return, please contact our support team Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST:

Once approved, we will provide you with the return shipping address and RMA instructions.

4. Damaged or Incorrect Parts

If your part arrives damaged or is not what you ordered:

  • Freight Damage: You must inspect the part before the driver leaves. Note any damage on the Bill of Lading. If you sign for it as "Good," we cannot file a claim.
  • Incorrect Part: Contact us immediately. We will arrange for a replacement to be shipped at no extra cost once the original part is picked up.

5. Engine & Transmission Specifics

Accessories Not Covered: Used engines are sold as a long block assembly. Attached accessories such as water pumps, sensors, cables, hoses, intake manifolds, and timing belts are provided for convenience only and are not covered under warranty. We recommend replacing these wear items prior to installation.

Heat Tabs: All engines are shipped with heat tabs to monitor overheating. If the heat tab is melted or removed, the return/warranty is void.

6. Refund Processing Time

Once your return is received and inspected by our warehouse team:

  • Inspection: Please allow 3-5 business days for our technicians to verify the part's condition.
  • Refund Issuance: Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 5–7 business days.

7. Policy Violations

American Used Auto Parts LLC reserves the right to deny any return if:

  • The part has been installed, painted, or modified.
  • The part was damaged due to improper installation.
  • The internal components have been disassembled.
